2) The phones are to be answered after 5:00 PM during weekdays, on weekends and during all state holidays 24 hours per day.
3) The operator is to obtain the patient’s name, county of residence, and patient’s telephone number, and contact the on-call nurse immediately.
4) Vendor will be required to fax a summary of messages to the appropriate sites each day to include all calls processed and billable
5) Telephone operators must answer telephones promptly and professionally. No more than four (4) rings should be allowed per call. Telephone calls must not be held for a long period of time.
6) The vendor will provide toll free numbers for clients for the 8 counties in South Carolina.
7) The contractor shall provide call waiting, or equivalent feature, so that callers will not receive a busy signal.
8) Calls are not handled by machines. A live operator is to answer/make all calls
