We seek proposals for a comprehensive Air medical billing service for patients who are transported by the Fire-Rescue Department helicopters.

[A] Scope of Service:
1) Contractor shall have the ability to electronically receive electronic Patient Care Records (ePCR) data from City and incorporate into claims management software provided by billing agency.
2) All submissions for patient billing should be sent by the City electronically to the firm.
3) Contractor shall submit claims with complete payer and other required information within no more 48 to 72 hours of receipt.
4) Contractor shall ensure they have adequate information regarding services provided by the City in order to use the correct codes for billing purposes.
5) Contractor shall determine insurance eligibility for the patient.
6) Contractor shall also verify coverage for the patient, and must ensure that they have sent out the right amount due in a notice to the patient for services provided.
7) Contractor shall provided for a means for billing codes are checked for accuracy before the bill is sent out to the patient and or third party payees.
8) Contractor shall maintain a structured process for billing procedures
9) Contractor must be able to provide insurance verification, claims processing, accounts receivables management, performance reports, review and appeals, and support using industry standard software
10) Contract will be for a period of 2 years.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
