[A] Scope of Service:
1) Contractor shall bill each user of emergency medical services on a per-call basis at the current prescribed rate for services rendered. Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining appropriate and accurate databases and records on patients to which services are provided in compliance with state records management guidelines and current federal, state, and local governments.
2) Contractor shall accept daily EMS incident reports/billing sheets by electronic transfer each week and immediately process run data and provide an invoice and or statement sent regular mail to each patient for which services were rendered. Contractor shall bill any insurance and Medicaid/Medicare claims for services and collect such income and revenues related to the same.
3) Contractor must provide monthly reports to the office on progress of collections to include amount billed each month, amount collected each month, outstanding balances, outstanding accounts transferred to the Office of Billings and Collections.
4) Contractor shall furnish all labor and resources to conduct billing and collections for emergency medical services.
5) Contractor database system shall be capable of uploading and downloading data as needed.
6) Contractor must be compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
7) Contractor shall maintain a local or toll free telephone number for customers to inquire about billing status.
8) Patient must have the ability to update information on-line via a secure website.
9) The term of Contract will be for one (1) year, from January 30, 2011, through January 29, 2012.
[B] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
