[A] Scope of Service:
1) Contractor will be using standards-based web design tools (clean code – no proprietary mark-up) design a web based interface so that stations and, eventually, the public can explore and use the sample data set.
2) Creating an attractive, user-friendly design and creating links using PHP or a similar open source tool to access a large back-end database (built on mySQL, PostgresSQL, or other open source software) and return results in an easy to use form. Users would need to log in to download data.
3) Adopt, adapt or build a simple software interface to enable stations to download InfoVault data in standard file formats for use on their local systems
4) Iterate software interface design and content presentation as necessary based on testing feedback
5) Contract will be for five (5) months; April 1, 2011 through August 31, 2011.
[B] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
[C] Eligibility: Global, companies from anywhere in the world can apply for this.
[D] Budget: Looking for proposals
